NEW DELHI: Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh, the primary Indian bowler to get a Test full go-around, declared on Friday his retirement from all types of cricket.
"Generally beneficial things reach a conclusion and today as I bid goodbye to the game that has given me everything throughout everyday life, I might want to thank each and every individual who made this 23-drawn out venture lovely and important," the 41-year-old tweeted.
The "Turbanator" took the fourth-biggest number of Test wickets (417) for an off-spinner behind individual Indian Ravichandran Ashwin and Sri Lankans Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath.
He made his worldwide presentation in 1998 and last played for India in 2016, having participated in 103 Tests, 236 ODIs and 28 global T20s.
He kept on playing in the Indian Premier League including for Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
